More on Large Coyote

The large coyote that was posted on the community page on Monday paid our place a visit yesterday and went after our dogs. We have two labs, one that is very wary of coyotes and another that is a 7 month old curious puppy. He was about to go after the puppy (this was 15 yards from the house). Fortunately, I saw this happening and was able to chase him off but he for sure is not scared. We live on the north road in Paradise Park so he is lurking for sure. Just wanted to let everyone know with pets etc. Thanks, Laurie G This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Wayward Mules/Donkeys

Hello! Just before the snow storm 2 mules/donkeys showed up on our property off Davis Ranch Road. They are super friendly and one looks fairly elderly. Anyone missing them? We have them safe and sound with our horses. They are being watered and fed until someone can come get them. Our road is okay for truck traffic but probably not a horse trailer. Text 970-227-4555 with information.

Errant Cattle

I have about a dozen cows/calves on my building site. I saw similar cattle in Collards stove prairie meadow (adjoins my property but seems dang steep for his cows to roam up there. I think Mason on Stove prairie, and Linda off BlueGrouse (also adjacent to my place) have cattle also.
I found them both on my road going around the locked gate, on my building site, and down in the steep, rocky, and highpark fire tree choked ravine. I am very concerned for the health of these animals since the terrain is dicey, and there is no water up there given how hot it was already before I ran into work this morning.
I am work everyday this week, but owners can call me at 215-8181. really a mess

Missing your cows?

Missing your cows?

For a few weeks now an unbranded black Angus cow (red tag #27) and bull calf (yellow tag #51) have been hanging around the 'hood. We no longer need them under our solar array or blocking the guest cabin and outhouse! We are in the lower Buckhorn; call/email for directions & locked gate access.

Bears

Our neighborhood bear had a feast last night.
We are all busy, I know, and sometimes it is more convenient to put the trash out on Monday night. Unfortunately, it is also a convenient midnight snack for the bears in addition to being a HUGE inconvenience for our wonderful Canyon Utility crew who cleanup after the feast.
Please, for the sanity of Canyon Utilities, for the safety of the bears, and for the serenity of our amazing community, don't put your trash out until trash day (Tuesday morning).
Thanks!
