Two Dogs: One lost, one found

DOG # 1
My 5 yr small dog slipped his collar this morning in Paradise Park, and haven't seen him in over 10 hours. It is coyote country & they were in the area this morning.. It's possible he may have been caught by a coyote.

In the chance he's been found by someone, I'd appreciate a note back to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or call to 221-4586.

He comes to 'Loki.' He has a chip embedded. The pic attached was from 9 months old, but he looks the same & weighs 9 pounds. He's an Affenpinscher / Italian Greyhound mix.

A Break In

Yesterday between 0700 & 1800 hrs. someone broke into my neighbors house which was locked. (Rist Canyon Road near Fire Station)
The door was bashed in and numerous odd items stolen.
There was no vandalism thankfully.
It appeared that they did have a car by the tracks on the driveway.
Keep your eyes open and your home secure.

3 Goats

In Masonville: 3 goats are on our hillside, and neighbors say they have been wandering around in the area for a few days. They belong to someone as they are collared! Neighbors have called Animal Control and there is no response yet. There is local concern that they will need water soon in order to survive.

If these belong to anyone, please call us 970-669-0130 for directions to get here! We are very near the Masonville Mercantile Store.

Thank you, Jean Hammond

Report Collared Elk Sightings

The US Department of Agriculture is asking people to be on the lookout for a wild adult female elk wearing a high visibility red collar around her neck. This animal is part of an observational study at USDA Veterinary Services' wildlife research pens in Fort Collins, CO and escaped from the facility February 18th.
If you see this animal, or have spotted her at any time, please call 800 451-8297 as soon as possible to report her location.
You may contact 844 820-2234 with questions, but not to report a sighting of the animal.
Thank you.

Nice Burros

Three nice Burros turned up in my front yard this morn. I tossed them in the pasture and closed the gate so they would be easy to capture and collect. Owners can email me for details.

Photos Found

We found a package of photos in our driveway after there was an accident on our road and we were wondering if it belongs to someone up here that responded to the accident and it fell out of a vehicle.

The envelope is from the Walmart Photo Department in Loveland. The date on it is 5/12/03 and the name is Karla Kathan 505 East 50th Street in Loveland. Written on the back is Storm Mountain 1997 - 1999, Kylor,Tiffany Karla.

I've tried looking up the address and phone number on Google and haven't had any luck.

Found Saint Bernard

This morning (Feb 5) a very gentle Saint Bernard walked up to our house on Walking Wind. He looked well cared for and was wearing a blue collar but no tags. We have turned him over to Larimer Animal Control. If he's yours, please go and claim him. He's a sweetheart.

Moving Books (email corrected)

Neighbors,
We will be moving the books tomorrow morning at 9 AM. Anyone who can help us would be greatly appreciated. These books are part of the income for the Fire Dept's festival in September. We need to move the sorted books to Station#3 where they will stay until the festival. The need to move the books is to take weight off the floor in the second story.
This is a second request and we have changed the day as we are picking up a large quantity of books tomorrow morning. If you can help please let me know
Thank you,
Carolyn

Moving Books

Neighbors,
I am heading up the Book Bees this year. I am trying to find guys with strong backs to help move the books that have been sorted from Station #1 to #3.
The books need to be moved in order to take the weight off of the second floor. If 4 or 5 people could help move these books, it would only take an hour or less. If you can help, we could move them Saturday morning around 10.
Please call me or e-mail me.
Thanking you in advance for your help,
Carolyn
