Mail Theft

Someone is rifling through the mail boxes dumping mail on the side of the road or putting it in someone else’s box. If this has happened to you, please report it to the Postal Inspection Service 1-877-876-2455 or USPS.COM under “other USPS sites” at the bottom of the page. Contact the sheriff’s department also at (970) 498-5100. The inspection service told Tracy Saturday that no one had reported any problems to them….please, please do. Customers have brought in mail and we have returned what we could; however, there were two empty envelopes from the Colorado Department of Revenue and a mother’s day card. If you have grandkids named James, Taylor, Kaylee, and Elijah; I have your card (no envelope). Locking mail boxes can be purchased at Home Depot for about $100.00 put one up if you can. If this option isn’t available to you, pick up your mail as soon as you can. The post office also has PO boxes that are available to rent. These people are hard to catch so if you see something report it and let me know (970) 482-5200.

Thanks everyone for your help!
