Wildfire Preparedness Day 2019

Spring is coming! And that means it's time to start putting together our annual Wildfire Preparedness Day and Firestation Open House. This is a chance for you to meet your firefighters, learn how to protect your home from wildfires, and even watch your kids use fire hoses to put out "fires". This year we are also going to be doing some mitigation work in the morning for a community member who needs help. You'll have a chance to work alongside RCVFD firefighters and learn as you volunteer.

We hope to have this 4th annual event on May 4, 2019, but to do that, we need your help.

The way RCVFD pays for the food and other small details for this event is with a $500 grant from NFPA. And we only get this grant if lots of people vote for our event proposal, so vote early and vote often! It's easy:

  1. Head over to the NFPA website where we have posted our event proposal.

  2. Click on the big yellow "Vote" button once per day.

That's all it takes! Thank you so much, and we can't wait to see you on May 4.
