Three nice Burros turned up in my front yard this morn. I tossed them in the pasture and closed the gate so they would be easy to capture and collect. Owners can email me for details.

We found a package of photos in our driveway after there was an accident on our road and we were wondering if it belongs to someone up here that responded to the accident and it fell out of a vehicle.

The envelope is from the Walmart Photo Department in Loveland.The date on it is 5/12/03 and the name is Karla Kathan 505 East 50th Street in Loveland. Written on the back is Storm Mountain 1997 - 1999, Kylor,Tiffany Karla.

I've tried looking up the address and phone number on Google and haven't had any luck.

This morning (Feb 5) a very gentle Saint Bernard walked up to our house on Walking Wind. He looked well cared for and was wearing a blue collar but no tags. We have turned him over to Larimer Animal Control. If he's yours, please go and claim him. He's a sweetheart.

We will be moving the books tomorrow morning at 9 AM. Anyone who can help us would be greatly appreciated. These books are part of the income for the Fire Dept's festival in September. We need to move the sorted books to Station#3 where they will stay until the festival. The need to move the books is to take weight off the floor in the second story.
This is a second request and we have changed the day as we are picking up a large quantity of books tomorrow morning. If you can help please let me know

I am heading up the Book Bees this year. I am trying to find guys with strong backs to help move the books that have been sorted from Station #1 to #3.
The books need to be moved in order to take the weight off of the second floor. If 4 or 5 people could help move these books, it would only take an hour or less. If you can help, we could move them Saturday morning around 10.

Someone came onto our property either yesterday late afternoon or early this morning and stole a cordless drill, impact driver and a battery from the toolbox on the chipper that is being used to clear burned trees from the property. We suspect they walked in sometime between when the timber workers left yesterday afternoon and before dark or, in broad daylight this morning before the workers returned to the property to begin work (which further suggests they may have been watching the property). We did call law enforcement, a deputy came to the site, and at my request he contacted several close neighbors to “see if they saw anything suspicious”. The toolbox was not locked but getting to the chipper was a deliberate act on the part of the person who took it. You can’t just be walking by its current location halfway up the side of the mountain on private property and just happen to see there are tools inside the big heavy metal lid that is always closed. I think maybe neighbors might like to know there is someone in the area who can’t be trusted, I live about a mile above Fire Station 1, north side.

The 2nd round of disaster recovery funding is available to farmers and ranchers who have an agricultural business that was impacted by the 2012 and 2013 fires or flood.

We have already assisted over 50 farmers through round 1 by helping them with disaster recovery projects like building barns, installing new fences, cleaning out irrigation ponds, land leveling and debris removal. We've also assisted them in purchasing equipment that is needed to help with their daily business operations or paying for operational costs.

I know we are all being stalked by our favorite non-profits about Colorado Gives Day next Tuesday (December 6th). However, RCVFD is now included in that event & I wanted to make sure you were all aware of that. Over the past month, we've had multiple mountain lion (4) sightings in the lower Canyon area (mouth of Canyon to Davis Ranch). On Tuesday evening (November 29th) around 7pm, two lions were seen in the road at the entrance to the Canyon (right by Cloudy Pass subdivision).

These are adult sized lions. Just a note to remind us all we share these mountains and forests with wildlife.
